High Noon was directed by Fred Zinnemann and was released in 1952. Gary cooper plays the lead role of a retired Marshal named Will Kane. Will recently got married and retired as the Marshal of his town to live a new life with his wife. On his way out of town he catches word that an old outlaw named Miller who he put in Jail is coming back to town to kill him. Will goes back to town to fight Miller but none of the townspeople will help him. Will decides to fight him on his own and it's only of matter of time before Miller comes to town. The cool part about this movie is that it runs on reel time so it only all takes place in a matter of about 2 hours. The movie currently has a rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and won 4 Oscars. The movie has several remakes but I suggest only watching the Cary Cooper version. I hope you enjoy this dramatic western.
