Victory

I chose to write about the movie Victory today because it's a soccer movie and the world cup started today so I thought it would be a good fit. Victory was directed by John Houston and was released in 1981. The movie stars many soccer players such as a Pele and Bobby Moore but also features Sylvester Stallone and Michael Caine. The movie is set in a prison camp in Germany during WWII. Many of the prisoners play soccer and they decide to put together a team to play the Germans. The movie is all about the preparation before the big game and the movie has a huge twist. This movie is one of my all-time favorites because I love soccer so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Walk The Line

Walk the line was directed by James Mangold and was released in 2005. The movie is about the singer and song writer Johnny Cash, and the hard times he went through as he became a legendary artist. Joaquin Phoenix plays Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon plays the sensational June Carter. The movie starts at the beginning of Johnny's life before he becomes a star and goes all the way till he fights through all of his drug addiction. The movie to me was very informative about Johnny's life and I learned a lot of things about pop culture that I didn't previously know. The movie currently has a rating of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and won one Oscar. I hope you enjoy this Dramatic Biography of Johnny Cash's life.

Miracle

The movie Miracle was directed by Gavin O'Conner and was released in 2004. The movie follows the story of the US mens Olympic hockey team in 1980. The movie starts off with how the team got selected and shows the road they went through prior to the Olympics that year. The Americans were a long shot to win the Olympics over an amazing Russian team that never lost. None the less the Americans ended up beating the Russians and a miracle did happen. This is a great family film and also helped me learn alot about the game of Hockey. The movie currently has a rating of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. I hope you enjoy the film.

Kung Pow

So I chose to write about a horrble movie today called Kung Pow. The movie is quite awful in every sense of the word. The directors and actors aren't notable and the plot is horrible. The movie originally was a real Hong Kong Kung Fu movie but it was dubbed over in English, with new scenes added and the director changed the plot to his liking. Usally I would describe the plot but it's not worth my time and I honestly regret wasting my time writing this blog post. I hope you don't enjoy.

Get Him To The Greek

Get Him to the Greek is a hysterical comedy directed by Nicholas Stoller. The movie stars Jonah Hill as a music executive named Aaron Green who works for Pinnacle Record Company. He comes up with a brilliant idea to put on a show for a washed up rock'n roller named Aldous Snow (Russel Brand) . Aldous is druggie as well as an alcoholic and it's Aaron's job to get him to the Greek Theater in 3 days. Things don't go according to plan so Aaron must change his lifestyle to please the Rocker. This awesome comedy scored a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes and I guarantee it will make you laugh. Enjoy!
