An Education
An Education was directed by Lone Scherfig and was released in 2009. Carey Mulligan plays a teenage girl named Jenny who is coming of age in England. Peter Sarsgaard plays an older gentleman named David with a mysterious background which you don't find out about until later on in the movie. Jenny's school year is coming to an end and she has her eyes set on going to Cambridge. Her parents want the same for her too. One day David comes along and shows her the time of her life. She continues to see David and she puts her schoolwork aside and focuses solely on him. She finally gets to a point where she must make a choice whether she wants to stay with David or follow her dream of going to Cambridge. The movie has a great ending and I hope you enjoy this romantic drama. The movie currently has a rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and was nominated for 3 Oscars.
